# Day 5 – Conquering type 2 diabetes

Yesterday's activities and eating habits in conquering type 2 diabetes were as follows:

  • Intermittent fasting: I did intermittent fasting; meaning I only ate between 12 noon and 8pm.
  • Water: I drunk one bottle of water.
  • Green tea: I had green tea after dinner around 7.50pm
  • Breakfast(brunch): Which I had at noon was a fruit blended smoothie. Made this myself. Fruit contains vitamins and is really good for the body.
  • Dinner: Brown rice. This was from the brown rice i purchased and I prepared fried rice out of it. My staples prior to this journey have been heavily high carb food , hence brown rice gives me a good alternative for that.
